Subject: Kflop to my lathe
Hi Tom,
Just uploaded a pdf file in Files section. Can you have a look at this please and see if I am on the right path here.

I have one old connectorbox that was connected to Mach/printerport and need to make use of this box so I have made a list of pins in printerport to pins on Kflop JP7 and JP6. Is this OK or is there a way I can connect PWM to JP7 as this would make it easier to connect via one flat cable to DSUB on the box. This connectorbox also has +5VDC and +12VDC PSU built in (old external CD driver box)

Been offline for a while but now I will try to continue with my Milling machine as well as this lathe of mine.

Cheers
Bengt

Hi Bengt,

The cabling looks reasonable to me.

Sorry there are no PWM outputs available on JP7.

It might be possible to use a Step output on JP7 as a PWM.  We helped a User do this in a case where he needed more than the available number of PWMS.  There is an example called: StepAsPWM.c which shows how to do this.  Of course the frequency becomes variable rather than at a fixed frequency like a normal PWM.

Regards
TK

Thanks Tom,
I'll stick to JP6 for PWM as it is only 1 cable. More questions will come later on. Will try to take some pictures as well.
Cheers Bengt
